I love to fish; especially fly fish. For years, I carried a high-quality 35mm compact (Olympus XA, Olympus Stylus, Yashica T4 Super - my fave) in a zip-lock bag in a pocket of my fly fishing vest. When these kind of cameras disappeared, I carried a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5. It finally died and, by then, mobile phone cameras had killed off the majority of the digital point-n-shoot market. I still don't own a mobile phone but I did buy an iPod Touch. It's really an iPhone6 without the phone feature; all the other features are there, including the excellent camera. But I hate using it. It will never feel good in my hands or feel anything like what I expect or want a camera to feel like. I'm too old to adjust. ;) Because the form factor is so uncomfortable to me, I have the expectation that I'll eventually drop it into the water if i take it along fishing. So, I just purchased a Fujifilm FinePix XP130. It's arriving tomorrow according to FedEx, who had also told me that the package was going to arrive today before they apparently changed their mind. $110. It's waterproof and has a 16.5 MP sensor. My trusty D200 is 10.2 MP. It will be interesting to see how it performs! Anyone here have one?
