I think Nola has a very nice eye! Nice and sharp, but I'd like to see the full face. As an image it appears sound, just need to like partial portraits.

Your puppy's optometrist would be proud of you. ;)

Need to see more of the dog's face. Just the eye alone does nothing for this shot.

Shooting a bit tight there....macro photography isn't normally applied to pets ;).

Very cute dog though....at least from what I can see from your avatar.

I get what you're trying to do with this image and I think it has a lot of potential. However, the bulk of the beauty inherent to this type of composition is the symmetry you build into it. That said, I think this would make a more compelling composition if you re-shoot this with more of an exacting slice directly on the midline of the pouches' face.
Nevertheless, the image is nice and sharp, something I have a tough time doing with my dog. Every time I point the camera at my boxer Penny, she takes off in the opposite direction. I blame my wife and her love of the flash that has completely ruined my dog. :mad:
