If you know, please let me know. These flowers are about 1 to 1-1/2 inches long, grow close to the ground and are along the edge of the woods near my neighbor's pond. They are a very nice, bright magenta (my favorite color <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite1" alt=":)" title="Smile :)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":)" /> ).</p><p></p><p><strong>Magnificent Magenta</strong></p><p>[ATTACH]37662[/ATTACH]</p><p></p><p>In the same area that I found these, I found some starflowers. I like the profile version. It almost reminds me of a large satellite dish antenna.</p><p></p><p><strong>Looking Up</strong></p><p>[ATTACH]37663[/ATTACH]</p><p></p><p></p><p>I found this lichen on a branch of a dead pine tree. It is a fruticose lichen. I have two versions, the original color version, then one in B&W. I like them both.</p><p></p><p><strong>Spiky</strong></p><p>[ATTACH]37667[/ATTACH]</p><p></p><p>[ATTACH]37668[/ATTACH]</p><p></p><p></p><p>Finally, no walk in the woods is complete without at least one photo of a dead tree or part thereof.
