3-1-13: My spousal unit has been making me a replacement flyer for my spinning wheel. The original one split and broke because it was made of laminated wood. :( Anyway, yesterday, Spousal Unit brought in the rough form of the flyer attached to a power drill. He turned the drill on to show me that it was balanced and spinning true. Now, he took it back to his man cave and is working on final shaping, sanding and finishing it. I can't wait until it's finished so I can start making handspun yarn again. I took the photo while it was still on the power drill. Not a great photo, but cool, none the less. :)
