He had been hanging around our house for about 1-1/2 years. My spousal unit started feeding him when he showed up. He was about 6 months old at that time. We live in a rather rural area, and this little guy was probably dumped off because he was old enough to be neutered. He was really shy, coming to our house to eat and sleeping in the barn down the road. It took quite a while before he trusted us. During the super cold snap we had in January, he came hobbling up the driveway for food. Once he got on the porch, I picked him up, brought him in the house, and he has had no desire to leave since. He loves my husband and thinks I'm the evil one since I had to take him to the vet for shots and neutering. He's really cool. He has a total of 25 toes! 6 on each hind paw, 7 on his left front paw and 6 on his right front paw.
