You install Photoshop and Lightroom on your computer like any other application and Adobe dings your credit card once a month. That's it. I think Adobe was just looking for a reason to use the term "Cloud" because that's a current buzzword in business; doing business "in the cloud" is a thing these days and Adobe wants to hang with the cool kids. That and I think they got tired of their software being THE most pirated applications on the planet which I'm sure CC put a stop to in large part.....</blockquote>
