Photos using older Nikon AI-S lenses

Anyone have photos using some of the older Nikon AI-S or AI converted lenses on their DSLR?

I am considering a couple just to have for myself and I would like to see some shots using them.

I am particularly interested in prime lenses such as the 85mm, 105mm, 135mm and 300mm fixed.

@Bill16, how is the focusing when using the manual focus lenses? On manual film bodies, quite often there is some type of focus screen that helps achieve sharp focus. How is it using the focus screen that come with the DSLR camera?

I use the 85/2, 105/2.5 and 135/3.5 -all Sonnar formula lenses- on my Leica M9 and M Monochrome. The latter two are available in F-mount.

I just bought the DF, so will be using many lenses on it. The 55/1.2 AI is on it now. No problem focusing with it.

Frankly I just eyeballed it. I know there is one or two ways to use the Nikon's functions to help, but I just heard about them recently and haven't tried them. One way is to use live screen and zoom in and adjusting your focus ring to bring it in sharper. The second way involved the viewfinder display, but I can't remember how that works or if it works for ai lenses or just AF lenses for manual focus.
Sorry I'm not much help. But like I said I just eyeballed it, and it seemed to work ok, at least for close objects! Lol :D

I will be interested where you go with this,i had it in mind to buy a trio of prime lenses even bought the 200mm f4 but had to return it as it was not AI as stated, now its all on the back burner for a while.

On my 3100 I have a 52 year old 50mm/1.4 non AI. I use the green dot in my view finder to focus. It is located on the left bottom of the screen. When your in focus the green light stays on. I also have a 24mm/2.8 Vivitar lens I use.
