Photos not loading on online auction sites

For just over a week now, I have not been able to see any photos on either eBay or Gumtree. It's very annoying. Can anyone suggest what might be causing it? I have done a Google search and it is not a widespread problem, so I suggest something has changed maybe on the last updates done by windows or adobe etc

It is the same on both computers in the house. I running Win 7, the other running Win 8 and both using Google Chrome although I have also tried Firefox with no success either

Make suggestions please (insert begging smilie)

I have tried so many things now that I can't remember what I have tried eg updating flashplayer & java, clearing cache, cookies & temp internet files. Changing internet security options, turning off ad blocker apps etc

Are you uploading these pics to a hosting site (e.g. Flickr, Photobucket) or are they being hosted on the auction site?
I'm wondering if it's a hosting issue if you couldn't tell...

Simple modem issue. As soon as Sparky said "modem" I recalled that I had had to unhook everything when my puter died last week and the modem had had problems hooking back up to the net. I hadn't put 2 and 2 together when trying to think what may have changed. So..........happy now thanks to Sparky :D
