I normally carry everything on my left side and with the way I had it set up I could get the camera off my hip in one motion, using my pinky to press the release button. At no point did it feel insecure, though towards the end of the walk one of the thumbscrews for the mounting plate had unscrewed, but a separate locking screw would have held it firmly in place regardless. I'll likely get a second clip so I can swap cameras on the belt. Not sure if I'll bother with a second complete setup or just get another plate.
In my hand is an IR-converted D7000 which I was wearing on my hip with a Peak Design CapturePro Clip for the first time. I purchased it during their KickStarter campaign and it works like a charm. They've also got a wrist strap that looks like something I'd much prefer to my current BlackRapid strap. They have some smart products. Oh, and the other camera was my D600 secured to my shoulder with a Domke strap.:)
