Pete (Carolina Photo Guy) was visiting in a nearby town and I was able to get over to visit him and his lovely wife this morning. You might remember Pete had painted a rendition of my winning calendar photo which he presented to me today. The painting is fantastic and I gave him a copy of the calendar so hopefully he can keep his days straight next year :). In case you're wondering, he is just as witty and sarcastic (kidding) in person! :) It was very nice meeting up and visiting, hope to see him again in my travels.

Mr Rick, you put me in the interesting position of having to "like" my OWN likeness! That speaks to an attitude I didn't think I had. But I rekon I ain't too homely. My lovely wife ain't kicked my ass out yet! 'Course this trip ain't over yet so there is still time!
I really enjoyed the visit myself. It was good to meet the collector of Brickey original paintings. It was especially encouraging that you STILL want them!
Eventually, your luck will run out and we'll meet again.

You will have my condolences at that time.

It's really great to see you both looking in great shape. Seems both of you are still taking great care of yourselves. :)
