Pen for a good cause

I finished this Ballpoint pen a couple of days ago, the timber is Mackay Cedar ( Red Siris ).

I have donated it to be be auctioned to benefit a Guy called Dave, who has just lost his brother to cancer, and due to looking after his brothers kids and taking time off work to support his brother through his battle with cancer, is struggling a little financially.
I have never met Dave, but he is a member of another forum that I am a member of ( not photography related ).

The bidding has reached about double what I would normally sell this pen for, and still has until Sunday to run.

If anyone is interested to check out the auction and Daves story, let me know and I will PM a link to it.

Disclaimer- I don't expect anyone here to bid on the pen, you have to be a member of the other forum to bid anyway.

I just thought someone might be interested to look for curiosity sake.

As a matter of interest Brad do all your pens have the 5 stars on the top? Cool touch
Not all of them Lawrence.
This one has the Southern Cross on the finial, and has Wattle Blossoms on the centreband , gives the pen an Australian flavour.

Some people really like having the Southern Cross on their pen.
