PC connection lead

Can anyone please advise what type of connection lead is required to connect body to pc for the purpose of obtaining a shutter count.
I have tried to obtain a reading from a photo file but that has not worked.
My D7100 came without the lead and I have no chance of reading this manual....see below

I have never come across a way to get the count directly from camera. Maybe someone else has.

Maybe your editing software is striping the info. Try something different to copy an image to the computer and then upload it to a shutter count site.

Maybe your editing software is striping the info. Try something different to copy an image to the computer and then upload it to a shutter count site.

I suspected the same, therefore I uploaded a RAW file without any editing but it still couldn't read the data.
You would think with today's technology there would be a way to display these figures on the camera itself.

Set the camera to record a jpg and upload that

This is also where I go. You have to make sure you upload a full size image. It might take a minute before it's uploaded though.

Thanks everyone @Needa @nickt @Bengan @hark. The jpeg worked from NEF for https:camerashuttercount.com/.
31458, so plenty of life left in the old girl
@hark Cindy, I was able to get a count with the small jpeg file. Only took a couple of seconds.
