Paint your NIKKOR lens white?

This was featured on NikonRumors as well. Apparently, long before I got into DSLRs, Nikon had White lenses. They also had silver ones at one point to.

That was another guy I believe. His are more camo colored. I like them both honestly.
Then again, I'm the guy who can't keep a car or truck stock looking more than a few days :)

I could understand camouflage, but the others I'm not so sure about. Although if they had hello kitty skins I think my wife would put that on her lenses, hehe.

NO WAY! I like my black lenses and black camera body. When I used film cameras, when the option was available, I always opted for the black body vs the chrome. I just think it is much more elegant.

If you want to see an original white nikkor lens, search for the AF-D 300mm f2.8 D II ED lens. No fancy paint job here. White is how they came out of the factory.

There's an original white 70-200 2.8 as well. I was tempted at one point to get one just because it would confuse people to think I had a Canon, :rolleyes:.

That's funny. I use a big Canon bag for my gear. That way its less likely to get stolen.....:D
