I think you once mentioned wanting to get some type of tripod bags so I suggested you look at padded ones. One of the benefits of padded bags is when carrying heavy tripods or carrying them for long periods of time, the padded bags are more comfortable against your back. I have a padded Manfrotto bag. It was expensive but is very comfortable. Even the bag's strap is fully padded. There is a huge difference between the Manfrotto bag compared with just a tripod strap that fastens directly to the tripod. I also have one of those for my heavy Manfrotto tripod. The strap has a rubber piece that sits on the shoulder but is no where near as comfortable as the padded strap that comes on the Manfrotto bag. That older Manfrotto tripod with just a strap weighs a whopping 10 pounds with its head. Having that bang against my back while walking isn't the most comfortable thing. However, the padded Manfrotto bag holds my Gitzo tripod (with a Manfrotto head). Not nearly as heavy and much more comfortable to carry with the padded bag. :)
