I'm not sure where to post these images but I thought of sharing them to the group. These were USO volunteers who perform for the troops. The band who visited us here in Japan are called bowlingforsoup.
BOWLING FOR SOUP

Taken with D7000 + 70-200mm VRII + SB 900 with green gel (fill flash). The distance is about 70 feet using a chair to get some elevation. Hope you like them. C and C always appreciated. Thanks.

Pretty cool concert pics, looks like you got some great candid moments. Well done! I'm curious as to why you chose to go with a green gel on the fill flash though.

Thanks. I could have used an orange gel since the stage had that color. Any color gel would have worked as long as you use one so that it doesn't look too white or overpower the scene.

Very good shots. I'm sure the group would would enjoy having them. Getting any king of color correction with stage shows like this is about impossible anyway so the best way to go is to use it as part of the atmosphere. What you did with it works quite well. :cool:
