They appear to be talking to each other.&nbsp; When I press the transmitter button, in any mode, the receiver light flashes.&nbsp; But ... the camera itself doesn't react.&nbsp; I've tried this on each mode on the camera ... P / A / S / M with no difference.&nbsp; Receiver flashes, camera does nothing.&nbsp; &nbsp; The button on the remote if held partially down is supposed to activate auto focus, just like the shutter button on the camera .... nothing happens.&nbsp;&nbsp; If the button on the remote is pushed all the way down, the shot should be taken ... nothing happens.Before I go off fretting that my camera has a problem, I'd like to ask here if anyone is familiar with this, and / or if there is some other setting on the D3100 that I have to set to &quot;tell&quot; the camera to act on the remote.Any suggestions?Thanks ...
