Got my first DSLR yesterday, a Nikon D5100

Took this while they were at the dog park, she finally stopped for a second after she got tired

What a stunning looking dog !

Other than that, her ears have been chopped off, so for a head shot only, try to keep the ears, and the crop to the left in the direction she's looking is a bit vicious. Bit more space would be more aesthetically pleasing

Still, your Koda is an absolute beauty. I'm a real big fan of dogs !

Thanks!, Yeah she always has a upset look on her, we have a black and white Husky too, and he always looks happy.

Ill remember to keep the ears in next time, I took about 100 shots just to get this one good one, they we running around like crazy, and they didn't want to cooperate haha

Beautiful dog, I agree with what you have already been told... I have 3 dogs and know how hard they can sometimes be to capture.. I want to add, your focus and clarity is excellent.

Thanks, I had it in A mode since there were so many different shadows and lights depending on where I was standing, so I was changing the shutter constantly in Manual mode. I had the 55-200 lens on, it seems to focus quicker than the 18-55, so I just dropped down really quick when she stopped and snapped the picture real quick, there was some luck involved for sure.
