Was watching as it happened. Thank God injuries weren't worse than they were. People were up against that fence and I'm glad they got away before the engine and part of the front end found its way through it. I believe the worst of the fan injuries had to do with the tire flying overhead. Not a lot you can do with 3500lbs traveling at 200mph - what physics I remember tells me that's a heck of a lot of energy!!

I read that Nascar already have plans to redesign the grandstands. You can bet this will alter their current plans. This, of course will not alter my attempts to get my seat upgrades for Richmond. At Richmond the higher you are the better the view of the entire track. I can no longer climb steps to row 48 where I used to sit. My Son in law is currently trying to get seat upgrades to a section only accessable by elevator so that I can handle. Only thing stopping me is waiting for available seats.
