I have all three 105 micro. Can give you a phto here to show them side by side if you want?
on my d750 I do prefer them D versions. Like the 35mm f2 d A beautiful lens!
I ordered the 105D Nikon. It came yesterday but my wife was on the phone and didn't answer the door so the post office took it back. Hopefully today they will redeliver. I'm also looking at a couple other D lenses down the road. I'm not very fond of my 55-300mm and may replace that. Looking at the 80-200mm D f/2.8 lens. I've spent a bit much lately though so I need to take a break on purchases :). I also bought the Nikon 200-500mm AF-S lens.

I have a d500 and have done the research to know I can use an older AF lens now and save some money over the newer AF-S. What I don't know is what the performance is like. Does anyone know if there is similar performance in the AF or not? Since the model numbers on the lenses are the same I don't know how to research this.

Thanks.
go the ebay route and buy from good sellers
70-210 f4 (you will like)
80-200 f2.8 (two ring not push pull)
180 f2.8 (amazing lens)
28-85 with macro (amazing lens)
20-35 f2.8 (famous lens you will love)
35-75 f2.8 (if you get a good one you'll like it)
300 f2.8 (older one optically same as AFS much much cheaper)

Thanks for the list. Some of these are already on my radar but I'll check the others out too.
