Looking for some general feedback on these two images of my daughter I shot this past weekend. Lighting was a speedlight camera left a few feet above her angled down to create a spotlight look. No modifier was used, just bare flash set to 70mm zoom. Flash was in manual, I really don't remember what power level I set it to. Manual exposure settings were used.
My biggest issue with the B&W image is the fact that her left eye is lost in shadows. A second flash camera right would have obviously fixed that, but I feel like I would have lost the spotlight effect I was going for. Perhaps a reflector camera right would have saved her eye from being lost in shadows?
