There is often a sense that people view full frame as a promotion, badge of honour or recognition that they are an accomplished photographer. I was probably guilty of this myself to some extent. Having now got a d800 and modern crop sensor d7100 I realise that they are both very capable, and both are better for certain jobs.The 7100 didn't exist when I went fX so I was gaining huge ISO performance over my previous camera, but if I was a 7100 user today I would need to take a harder look at the decision if I was being sensible.</blockquote>
