Tanks, folks. Curt: Yep, happy w/the D80; I've been shooting with my 50, 60 and 85 more recently. Depends on what I'm curious about that day. My 180 comes in handy for distant candids (mostly wildlife) and such. Although some of the south sac streets could be considered a wildlife shoot. Kenneth: I happily side with your views: Shoot, shoot, then shoot some more! Shoot it, learn it, shoot again. THEN think about upgrading. Then shoot some more...:) Dave: hehehe! I'll dig up some shots of my 'setup'. It's an on-the-cheap pvc pipe/hose clamp contraption. Cost all of about 5 bucks in parts and took about 1/2 hour to concoct. I've used the bars mainly for vids, but have gotten some pretty decent stills at speed. Panning is tricky up on the goat trails in our hills...LOL...but do-able.
