I have just noticed on my 16-85mm AF lens, that if I manually focus the ring, it keeps turning as if it's useless. Then I tried my other lenses and they did the same thing, even a 50mm prime lens. Has anyone discovered this issue, it doesn't seem normal, but I'm just assuming. Thanks, lp

My 16-85 does not do that. It will only turn to infinity one way & the closest focus distance the other. The behavior of your lens is odd.

The only other post you have made was about lenses and lens play. You had several in a row that you thought had a problem. I have to wonder if it is something you are doing. Is there a local camera store that you could carry the camera to and get them to look at it? Also since you have not filled out your profile we don't know what camera you are using or what part fo the world you are in. Those things make a difference in the way we answer.

It is normal, nothing to worry about. These lenses have a clutch built in to spin beyond the limits. Most lenses do this, we just don't realize it until you notice it.
