Noise reducer

Is there any noise reducer software available to reduce some ISO noise without having a big impact on the Photo sharpness. Sometimes I have a fairly good night time sports photo that with some noise reduction, it could be a keeper. I just don't trust the searches.

Thanks

I have Topaz deNoise. Download the trial version and see if it does what you want.

Switching to Nikon means I havent had to use it much (used it a lot when I shot Olympus :( )

In Adobe Camera RAW, under the Sharpening button, there is a section specifically for "Noise Reduction".

In that sub-section the "Luminance" and "Luminance Detail" sliders do a great job of reducing ISO noise while preserving overall image quality. Plus it's easy.

PS should have standard noise filters too. At least my old version has. They're not as good as the LR however but that's probably because of old vs new.

Thanks, I downloaded the NIK trail and it is pretty good. It attached an app to my PS 12. However, the $149 price tag is quite steep.

Considering what NIK Tools is, and what it can do (control points!), I think it's a steal at that price.

NIK Tools is now almost as indispensable to me now as Photoshop itself.

google around for discounts coupon codes... they always have at least a 10% coupon code floating around on one of the coupon sites...
