Smaller and lighter than version 1. I quite like my little 55-200 VR, it is small, light and produces descent images. And cost me only £100. Though it might be a while before the version 2 gets so cheap.
Hmmmm.....wonder why the face lift though...especially with a "kit" lens. They seem to be trying to shrink everything lately. Makes me wonder if they got a small camera in the lineup.
