Nikon water bottle

Now that is funny. On my diet I am supposed to drink a lot of water. I bought this at Walmart Bubba Brands 20 oz HERO Sport Bottle Onyx Black - Walmart.com and it is amazing. I can fill it with ice and water and refill it with water a few times during the day and still have ice in it at teh end of the day even if it has been in the hot car much of the day.
But I have to figure out when I need to take a drink all by myself. No electronics and it does not communicate with my watch or even my phone.

We laughed at science fiction when they portrayed a future where we had stopped thinking for ourselves, wonder if it will calculate how soon we will need a pee, then we will know when to start looking for a toilet.

I seriously worry about the survival of the human race.
On one hand, we have primitive knuckle dragging cockroaches, who are stuck in the 12th Century committing horrific atrocities to other human beings.
On the other hand, we have a society on the other side of the world, who have now basically stopped thinking and doing for themselves. Walking around with faces buried in technology not even paying attention nor caring about anything other than themselves.

This is not going to end well!

yep a "stupid" water bottle is more important than a D400 or a UWA zoom for DX. they know their priorities. like the dog camera and selfie stick. thumbs up nikon. turning from a photo gear company to junk accessory company. they made cameras for nasa. now theyre making junk.

Not too long ago we had a car grabbed by a train. Instead crossing the rail, his GPS provided wrong info and he drove on the rails.

Says it all about our dependency on apps.

That's crazy. But there is a serious oversite in that patent. Where is the automatic social media posting??? Surely the drinker would want to share the drinking event on Facebook and Twitter without typing. Geez, how could they miss that?

This is a great water bottle too by the way:
Amazon.com: Thermos Vacuum Insulated 18-Ounce Stainless-Steel Hydration Bottle: Kitchen & Dining

Only 18 oz, but like Don's, it keeps ice all day long in a hot car. I like the one handed pop-open lid.

I'll go against the grain: I think it's an interesting idea for someone that's working out. Dehydration is a pretty serious issue, and if you're thirsty you're already dehydrated. I'm an experienced cyclist, I've trained myself to drink about a bottle an hour during hot weather, but I somehow let myself get dehydrated during a long, hot ride last summer, and I felt bad for the next day or two. Dumb mistake. I probably wouldn't buy this bottle, but for someone new to working out it might not be a bad idea.

Now, whether this bottle is a good thing for Nikon to make...

I admit that at times I set the timer on my watch to go off every certain number of minutes to remind me to take a drink at times. If I get really busy, I do forget to drink, and dehydration is one of my migraine triggers.

Now, an app and smart water bottle is going a bit far, but I used to wonder why in the world I needed a color monitor for my computer, too. :)
