Nikon Strap!!!

So a Black Rapid Strap with the Nikon Logo. I think the problem with Nikon branded straps just advertises "I have an expensive camera, please rob me".

Looks nice. The
Quick-Draw Strap seems to be the RS Sport model. I like the Nikon colors personally, no different that the thousands of people using the OEM NIKON strap advertising what they are shooting :)

I use my black and red RS Sport straps currently, no need for a third :)

Strap looks good. But I'm not jumping up to buy it just because it has Nikon written on it. It really does resemble a BR strap.

It is designed and made by Black Rapid.

I love my AN-6Y straps. have been using that model for years. I wear it proud. I am considering the those sling straps but I dont like the setup of my camera at my waist getting hit and scuffed from my belt and others walking bye and hitting it. when I have one camera on my shoulder, I can use my whole right arm to protect it when passing through on the dance floor. with those sling straps, the camera is just flying and turning and all over the place. I also keep my nikon strap pretty short.

"i have an expensive camera, please rod me"

Youre right Don, the yellow and the small nikon font are what screams that, not the huge cameras with the huge 2.8 zoom lenses thats hanging off my neck and the other off my shoulder that makes me look like a terminator with machine guns on me. HA!

and theives are not sumb. they dont care what your strap looks like. they see a strap and take interest what camera you have. so if I walked around with no strap then the thieves wouldnt even notice that I was holding a camera I guess. its the strap that gives it away, not the huge nikon logo on the camera body front panel. haha. cmon Don, be realistic :)

I wear black a lot. Hoodies, Tee Shirts etc. The black strap and the black camera don't jump out quite so much. I just think the Yellow Nikon logo just makes it stand out a little easier. Also I hate the narrow strap around my neck.

Also I am a big guy so people tend not to bother me and when I am out in the wild shooting by myself I have a 9mm strapped to my belt. Open carry is legal where I live.

so it doesnt matter if you had a pink helium balloon tied to you that was overhead that said "expensive nikon gear here" with an arrow down pointing to you from above haha! that gun is more than enough deterrent. it wouldnt matter what strap or clothese you wore. 9mm is enough.

the AN-6y is a wide strap. I cant use this aweful straps that come with the cameras. they are not comfortable.

After using the sling strap, I never look back. It beats the standard strap over the neck especially if you need to walk a lot. However, I don't like the Nikon screaming so loud especially oversea traveling and attracting attention.

I use a non-Nikon brand strap now for two primary reasons, no Nikon advertising for ne'r-do-well people to see, and comfort. I am a large man, OK, banker's cut or stout, and would like to find a strap about 6 to 8 inches longer, so I could carry diagonally across the chest in the cold months with a lot of bulky outer garments.
