Nikon F4 with Sigma 17-70 contemporary ???

What happens when I put my DX lens, a Sigma 17-70, on my Nikon F4??

Well the F4 AUTO focuses and it looks like it also has AE, the meter gives me sensible readings

But, as I have to use expensive film to really know for sure, do you know if this IS usable on F4?

You see -- I have two choices. Either use the lens on my F4 or sell it at great loss.

What happens when you put this lens on a FX digital camera and take a picture (I believe you have one)? The same thing will happen with your F4. And for what it is worth, if you would complete your profile listing all your gear, it would help us help you.

Yes, I see your signature. What happens if you put your Sigma 17-70 on your D750? The result you get should be pretty close to what you would get on your F4.
