Message: <blockquote data-quote="BackdoorArts" data-source="post: 135014" data-attributes="member: 9240"><p>Because I believe they actually thought things through and didn't hype things as much.  Now, there's 3 (4?) levels of DX cameras alone.  And if they built the D7100 that they should have (bigger buffer) it could make any D400 they might be planning irrelevant.  Or if they reduced the frame rate (which I would have been OK with) they would have heard moans about it being a step down from the camera it was replacing in that regard.  I think Nikon is like a carnival act with too many plates spinning and trying to get things out when the market wants them out instead of when they're ready.</p></blockquote><p></p>
