So I have a Nikon D5500 and I've had it for two years. I was out on the beach taking photos of waves breaking and, you guessed it...a wave hit me face on and hit the camera. It only hit the front, not the back. I quickly dried the camera off with a towel and it continued working for the rest of the afternoon. The next morning I'm getting the Error. "Press shutter release button again" message on the LCD screen. I've tried the trick of gently prying the mirror on the lower right corner because it may have been stuck, no dice. I've seen the videos where people took the bottom of the camera off and lubricated the mirror wheel because maybe the wheel is stuck from salt water but taking the bottom of the D5500 off is difficult and there are no teardown videos out there. Any suggestions?
