Nikon 200 500 settings

So when i was testing my nisi circular polarizer on this lens i stuck to f5.6 and its fine on right left subjects but front/back subjects were not all in focus. Without the filter i've had good results at f7.1. So what is everybody else using

It's not the filter you're using, it's the aperture you've chosen.

You will always have more depth-of-field at f/7.1 than at f/5.6........ with any lens.

Since my 77mm filters won't fit and I'm too cheap to buy new filters, I'm not using any. I always felt that CPLs were a pain to use anyway, unless you're stationary. What with trying to reach inside the lens hood to rotate the filter and making sure you're at the proper angle with regards to the sun....Unless the glare is just too much, I don't bother. Probably why my photos suck! :hurt:
