Nikkor AFS 55-300 VR test (MANY IMAGES)

She has been shooting her D40 six years now and I think an upgrade is in order.</p><p></p><p>Nikon has never produced a lens that's optically bad, imho. The 55-300 has got a lot of bad press and I thought to myself why not shoot a few tests. I decided to pit it against a tough competition at 200mm and 300mm focal lengths. Namely, the AI 80-200/4.5, AFS 70-200/2.8VR, AFS 200/2VR2, AFS 300/2.8VR and AFS 400/2.8VR. I also used TC14EIII and TC17EII.
