Any TC is a trade off between IQ and focal length. In addition to losing light by adding the TC, the extra elements in the TC were not designed as part of the original lens design and consequently negatively impact the IQ. The IQ hit seems to be less noticeable on the 1.4 TC, but becomes more apparently with the 1.7 TC and really impacts the 2.0 TC. Each time I've looked, I always end up walking away from the TC in favor of getting the appropriate lens with the focal length needed.</p></blockquote><p></p>
