As the question comes up from time to time about this combo I thought I would post these images I took this morning. A few things to consider. Firstly it wasn't very bright so these are at ISO3200 on a D7100 body. Secondly the shutter speed was only 1/800 sec due to the first point which is entry level for this stuff. Thirdly, This was a handheld set that was grabbed rather than planned. Based on those points I thought they came out OK. A big thing for me was that the AF (9 point continuous) tracked well, especially now that I've disabled the lock/pause feature.

I've also added them to Flickr (Go to the bottom of the page) as they don't look the same here.

I think these came out very nice. I have the Nikon 70-200VR I version with the Nikon 20E III 2X and it works GREAT for me.
