Well....after spending most of the day reading these posts and watching Nik Tools videos, along with a few chores....I will say I almost made a collasal mistake. I underestimated the power and ease of Nik Tools. Yup, you heard it from the horses mouth (or ass). I made a mistake. Nik Tools is well worth the money, but if you don't have it, don't expect any discounts at the moment. I checked with their rep., and there aren't any. It IS definitely money well spent though and I will be re-purchasing it. Just watching it, and writing to a friend who is my trusted advisor....and most of yours too....the verdict hit me in the face. I was wrong, but I learned a lot in the process. I encourage Pretzel to do as Blacktop suggested and buy it. I know he will soon enough, but just saying. It's better than most lenses you'd be saving for. I have a lens that's coming out in March, but it'll have to wait. I will buy Nik Tools first. Nik Tools gets a 5 star out of 5 star rating. So much so, that I'm thinking of stopping my CC and just using LR stand a lone which I already have, and use Nik Tools. I'm thinking the hell with PS. Too much mumbo jumbo, and bulky, and difficult to use. I guess I better be careful with what I say about it, but I really think Nik Tools has a big advantage over PS right now. It's cheaper in the long run.
