New Tripod

Thinking of purchasing a Manfrotto 055XPRO3. Anybody using one? Thoughts or other recommendations welcome.

aluminium or carbon fibre , i think ill be going aluminium myself the saving is pretty good , im actually looking at this one but possibly aluminium MEFOTO-Benro-C1350Q1-Carbon-Fiber so if anyone has any experience with either ill be also following this thread

oh and any thoughts on carbon fibre or aluminium would also be great

If you can afford carbon fibre then get it as I think they are the best.

I have the CF 190 and like it alot. I think it's very similar to the 055. My two knocks are that it doesn't have a hook on the center column for a weight and that it could be taller.

I like the MeFoto for the price it's a decent tripod with ballhead. Otherwise, the Manfrotto is also a good tripod. Both will leave you without a weight hook and the Manfrotto you would need to get a head. Either would be a good choice.
