Hello everyone, I slowly getting familiar with a new to me D100. But I am having a problem. Attached is a Kiron 28-210mm Manual lens I am trying to adjust the shutter speed and aperture. Manual says to turn the mode dial to A or S and LCD screen will show the speed in the top next to the battery indicator and the A would be to the top far right of the screen. To adjust both, I would rotate the main command dial. But when I put the Function dial on either A or S, nothing shows up in the command LCD screen. Where the aperture numbers should be, it flashes F-- on ether setting. It says r03 where the pictures remaining would be. What am I doing wrong? IS there something wrong with this camera? OR does the shutter speed and aperture only work with an auto lens? EDIT: Ok...Played with it some more.. In Manual mode, I can adjust the shutter speed with the Sub-command dial in the front. But I am getting the F-- error message trying to adjust the aperture. Help? When I use a modern automatic lens, will I be able to set the A and S once that new lens is attached?
