Message: <blockquote data-quote="Mfrankfort" data-source="post: 247470" data-attributes="member: 12881"><p>Probably because you aren't figuring out the exposure, the camera is.  It's always going to make adjustments so it's at 0.  In Manual mode, you use the exposure indicator to control the exposure yourself.  In A, the camera uses the shutter speed to set the exposure.  That is why you aren't seeing it in those modes.  You only see it when the camera says "hey, this isn't gonna work because it's too dark, even at the extreme setting".  In "m"... the camera doesn't adjust.  YOU adjust the exposure, and therefore need the meter.  Hope that helps.</p></blockquote><p></p>
