A gray market Tamron is literally 1/3 the cost..... Nikon has lost it unless this new version has magic sharpness pixie dust sprinkled on it.

It's actually better by one point on DxO than the current version. That's why Nikon really needs to have done something amazing with this new lens. They at least need to try and beat Tamron who's currently embarrassing them with their version which has had VC forever too.

I love the lenses I have now but every time I imagine myself replacing one of them I find myself thinking it would be better to go with a 3rd patty lens.

Just placed my order at B&H for the 200-500. Might take months for it to arrive, but who cares. My 70-300VR will be going on sale the moment it gets here.

Only a month,i can wait that long to see the results,i think just seen its months not month thats different.
