Using a shoulder strap will eliminate a lot of neck pain that is caused by the camera hanging on your neck. I use a Carry Speed Strap but there are many brands out there such as Black Rapid. As far as the filter goes I believe that both your Nikon 55-200 and the Nikon 35mm both have a filter size of 52mm so you could use this filter on either lens. The 18-105mm has a filter size of 67mm and would require an additional filter for it. You might think about getting a 52mm filter because it will cover most of what you will be needing. Another thing that I would recommend is to have plenty of memory so you do not run out of space at a critical time. Remember that if you do see that your memory is getting full and you do not have extra cards that you can gain space by knocking down the size of your files and gaining room by going to a lower quality picture. Having plenty of memory is a much better option but a little lower quality image is still much better than missing the shot all together. Also remember to take your battery charger and don't leave it plugged at the hotel and forget it when you leave. If you get a polarizing filter be sure and play with it BEFORE you leave on vacation so you know how to use it and not waste valuable vacation time or mess of your pictures, Jeff

[QUOTE="grandpaw, post: 59468, member: 8635"] I have the Nikon grip for my camera and like it very much, however it does add a lot of weight to have to carry around with you and in you case would probably recommend not getting one due to the extra weight you will be carrying. Two things that I would consider getting if you do not have them are a circular polarizing filter and a shoulder strap to replace the camera strap that came with your camera. Using a shoulder strap will eliminate a lot of neck pain that is caused by the camera hanging on your neck. I use a Carry Speed Strap but there are many brands out there such as Black Rapid.
