[QUOTE="Seth Brown, post: 131785, member: 13549"] Hi everyone, my name is Seth. I am new to photography and Nikon. I, like most everyone have been taking snapshot's most my life (all 35 years) with a point and shoot camera. About a month ago my camera broke so I bought a new one... My first DSLR, a used Panasonic DMC-G10. I instantly fell in love with portrait photography. I have been teaching myself about lighting and how to use the camera in manual mode. I am now to the point where I only use the camera in manual mode. Then this week I decided it was time for some new and better glass.... Then I quickly realized that good glass for the D10 was not cheap. So I made a jump, I ordered the Nikon D90 and also ordered 2 basic lenses. I ordered the Nikon DX AF-S NIKKOR 55-200mm lens, and a Nikon DX AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G. Now I am looking at the Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM as a prime portrait lens. Anyway... that is how I ended up here. Oh.. and here is a photo I took of myself so you have a face to go with the story.
