it is but it doesnt say anything about improvements , im holding off until its released but im not sure when or how much better it will be

The current 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 lens is a gem. It will be interesting to see if Nikon improves on it.

Moose needs to try the 80-400 new model. The 70-300 is pretty nice though.
