I have a Neewer brand timer release for my D5200 and it has served me well. The only down side for me, was no on/off switch. You have to remove the batteries to turn it off.

Thanks Jeff. :) The original listing I looked at on Amazon didn't have any reviews but going back I see that this listing does.

I don't think the lack of an on/off switch would prove to be that big of a drawback though since those displays draw almost no current. Have you had any problem with the cord working loose from the case as some have stated?

I have one, except mine says Yongnuo instead of Neewer. Same appearance and price, and same appearance as the $160 Nikon MC-36 too. Except the cheap one does not have the MC-36 RF choke on the shutter cable (altho its picture in its manual does). It works, and is very versatile in that all the timer functions can be used simultaneously. The cord has a screw lock, should stay put.

No problem with my cord. Mine does not get a lot of use though. I am pleased with my purchase. Considering it is much cheaper than a name brand one.
