Need help with Nik software - Any Nik Guru's in the house?

Does anyone know how to change the way Nik plug-ins name files after you're done adjusting them and the file is sent back to Lightroom/PS? For instance, right now the file comes back with an additional "Edit" tagged on the end of the name. I would like very much to have the file come back with the name of the plug-in I just used. My work flow is Viveza, RAW sharpener, Dfine and it would be very helpful if instead of counting the run of "Edit"'s in the file name I could instead see the name of the last plug-in that was used on that file.

Nope. The only way I know to control file names is to open in Photoshop and add each plugin as a layer (not a smart layer - unless you want it that way), flatten (or not) and "Save As".

Dave,
Did you look in settings? I selected apply filter to layer and after clicking apply the filtered effect to a separate layer.
It does rename the layer as:Intensity (CEP4)

Not sure if that helps.

Ah, I think I see what you're saying. If I access Nik from Photoshop instead of Lightroom I would have that in my history. Perfect solution, thank you!

LouCioccio - that was the right answer, it works like a charm. I've been using Nik thru lightroom and that was my problem. Using Nik thru Photoshop does exactly what I want it to do. Thank you very much

And on this note, I had no idea how much more powerful Nik suite was coming out of Photoshop than it is coming out of Lightroom. It's almost like Nik lightroom is Nik-light version and Nik Photoshop is Nik on steroids. ;)

That's why I upgraded to the Photoshop version after getting the Lightroom. When I saw what you could do with layers, smart and otherwise, it made all the sense in the world, because who needs a bunch of copies - though I do believe you can invoke it from LR with the original and not a copy after the first iteration provided you don't make add'l LR adjustments in between.
