need help for prime lens

hi guys! i'm new here and i need your help. I want a lens for portrait and if possible proxy pictures. I dont have a lot of money so i can't afford a 70-200 f2.8 or a 105mm macro. Can you help me with that. thank you

Depending on the camera you have the 50mm could be a nice focal length for portrait and general photography. If you have a D90 or above (camera with focusing motor in the body), the 50 1.8 D is a great bargain to start with.

I have the D7000 with the 18-105mm kit lens. Yeah i have seen the 50mm 1.8G but what do you think of the 40mm f2.8g micro?

did I hear someone say "50mm 1.8G" !! Now I love my nifty fifty It is on my D5100 90% of the time ! You can't go wrong IMHO

I think the 40 would be a little short for portraits. I don't know how much it costs, but I wonder if you couldn't get the 35 1.8 and 50 1.8D for the same price.

j'ai vu le 35mm a environ 229$, le 50mm 1.8G a 240$ et le 40mm micro a 279$. mais j'avoue que j'aime bien le '' nifty fifty '' !
