I am pathetic!! You know me only too well Glenn, but I did put a disclaimer at the beginning of this post that I reserve the right to change my mind. I held out and stuck to my guns for a couple of days so I don't think anybody can question my commitment to not buying anything new. Anyway I've spent the last couple of days mulling over the Tamron 90mm Macro and the Nikon 105. My wife has the non VC Tamron and it's great, however on FX the Nikon has a bit more range and more importantly it's compatible with my TC-20e III teleconvertor. I was just about to go out for lunch today when my £260 Nikon cashback card and PIN arrived in the post. Under those circumstances and coupled with a bit of birthday money I don't think this can regarded as my fault. It didn't help that my wife was encouraging me to get it.
