I am selling it after 11 years and replacing it with a D750. With all of the wading/shore bird photography I am doing, I am wanting to have 3 bodies with the 200mm f/2, 400mm f/2.8 and 600mm f/4 ED-IF Nikkors mounted at the ready. For me, fast prime glass is the only way to go. My D700 has served outstandingly for over a decade but it is getting a little long in the tooth. It is now on the selling block on Ebay. If anyone is interested in it before anyone buys it, I will take $450 with the MB-D10 battery grip, a flip up LCD protector and a microprism focusing screen. It is in near mint condition with nearly 100% of the oritinal finish, with about 245K clicks on it. That may sound like a lot, but I have known people who have gotten 325K clicks out of it and it is still going strong. I think Nikon really underestimates the number of actuations their shutters are good for.
