Message: <blockquote data-quote="PapaST" data-source="post: 337259" data-attributes="member: 8330">These are my thoughts too Scott.  As long as this lens is accompanied with "for the money" then I don't think very many people can argue the results.  It's tough to get that kind of reach with that kind of IQ for $1,000.  It's definitely a keeper for me.  I've experienced some of the AF woes that you've mentioned.  Most of which can be handled with technique.  I have however experienced on a number of occasions where the lens doesn't even try to focus.  I've tried several things as far as resetting the lens.  But ultimately I've always had to detach and reattach the lens.  This has happened to me a handful of times since getting the lens a few months ago.  Disappointing, yes, but a deal breaker, no.</blockquote>
