A D300. Yes you read it correctly. I have just solved my "I hate switching lenses" dilemma . As I shoot mostly landscapes, I never needed a long lens. Recently I bought a 70-300mm VR lens for the occasional bird shot and some horse and livestock shots that thought I would enjoy doing. Well, I thought right and really starting to enjoy doing birds. The problem is, that when I go out birding and see a fantastic opportunity for a landscape shot, I'm twisting lenses. Then if I leave my landscape lens on, here comes a bird. Twisting lenses again, back and forth all day. I would love to have an all around lens, but #1, no one makes an 11-300mm lens, and #2, even if they did ,it would be way out of my price range. So for around 400 bucks, I'm going to get a D300 (AGAIN) and use that for landscape stuff. I won't need to shoot with a high ISO so it won't be a problem. With a little more attention to framing shots, I won't have to do as much cropping, so the 12 MP won't be a problem either. Everything else on that camera will work for me just fine. I'll leave my 70-300mm on my d7100 for close up shots.
