My new Nikon 24-70 f2.8

My news lens arrived yesterday and it has done nothing but rain since. So just to test it I had a go at some Orchids from around the house. Man this lens is so much sharper than anything I have owned before!

Really nice shots...congrats on getting a terrific lens. If I ever decided to get a zoom lens (I just shoot primes), that would be my first choice.

Nice pics......The 28-70mm F2.8 is a cheaper alternative [Has an aperture ring] and just as sharp as the 24-70mm, for those that want a very good lens and don't mind second hand...

I played with the Nikon and the Tamron at my LCS. I really liked the feel of the Nikon over the Tamron. VC is cool....but the Nikon just feels amazing.

I went round and round reading reviews, looking at photos and was about to buy the Tamron when this one came up used, mint condition and the right price, really pleased I did.

He had a Nikkor 70mm-200mm 2.8g vr2 for like $1900 shipped..But I was broke after getting this lens..Came into some $$ and got the 85mm 1.4g from him(Mint) for $1300...
